Stock Overview : Nifty Levels - 30th July 2012

Next week,  global cues and RBI action will hold the key for our stock market’s direction. Across the world, quarterly earnings  are the trend setter for the respective indices. In domestic market too, earning of the corporate  will play major shot.

On 31st , RBI  will  undertake  its credit  policy  review,    any rate cut will be crucial to impart some growth of our economy. Monsoon recovery in addition to inflation numbers may add some turn in the domestic story. Nifty  rollovers  to  August  series  were  recorded  at  70.06% vs. the 3Months’  average of 66.35%. Market wide rollover was at 83.86% in line with the 3M average of 82.53%. The Nifty August series has starting with futures OI of 2.05 crore shares, which is considerably higher than the last series and maximum in the last four months.

Moreover, index futures have closed at 38 points premium, suggesting long positions have been rolled into August. The US Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank both meet next week amid investor expectations of actions to stimulate economic growth and, in the case of the ECB, tackle the spreading euro zone debt crisis. Quantitative easing, or QE1 and QE2, in recent years strongly boosted stocks. Any such announcement will be viewed as positive by global markets.

Sectorally, realty, financials and capital goods stocks observed high rollover of positions while automobile, oil & gas and technology stocks observed relatively low rolls into the August series. Next week, Automobile and cement stocks will be in focus as the companies from these two sectors start unveiling their monthly sales volume data or July 2012 from Wednesday.

Index heavyweights like Idea, BHEL and Sesa Goa saw relatively high rollover of positions into the August series while Maruti, Hero MotoCorp and Reliance Infra witnessed low rolls. This will be crucial while deciding these stocks move. The important results to be announced next week include Bank of Baroda, GAIL (India), JP Associates and Cipla.

Stock Market Strategy, Nifty Levels, Intraday stock Tips

Stock Market Overview:

Next week, stock market may witness higher volatility mainly on account of the f&o expiry of the july series. A weak than expected level of reliance industries too may evoke cautious feeling. Across the world, quarterly earnings  are the trend setter for the respective indices. In domestic market too, earning of the corporate  will play major shot, yet international cues,  particularly  euro-zone  updates  will    have  a  major bearing in our stock market.
Stock Tips

The news that the heavily indebted region of valencia asked madrid for financial aid interrupted a period of relative calm for wall street and raised the specter that the euro zone's fourth-largest economy may itself need to be rescued. The euro-zone nations have sealed a deal for rescue loans up to $122 bn to spain's banks amid speculation that spanish government  may also seek a bailout. These developments will provide direction to the international equity bourses. Apple's results, due tuesday,  may counter investor worries over the euro zone crisis. Tech results in us also will be closely watched for signs of weak demand overseas, particularly from europe.

Other technology companies expected to report next week include texas instruments and amazon.com. Of the s&p sectors, technology has the highest sales exposure to europe at about 25 percent. Among the other 138 s&p 500 companies reporting earnings are ford motor co, united parcel service and whirlpool corp.  A gauge of european banks dropped 3.7 percent and spain's equity benchmark fell 5.8 percent, its largest daily percentage drop in more than two years.

Spanish benchmark bond yields hit euro-era highs as the yield on the 10-year bond reached 7.3 percent.  These too may spread selling sentiments among the buyers. Next week, important companies like l&t, dabur, hul, ashok leyland, lic housing, sesa goa are going to announce their quarterly results. Any positive announcement will support buying in our market.

NIFTY FOR THE WEEK

Listing unassuming profits in the first meeting, today Nifty displayed a contradictory meeting and regardless of paring up most of its day finally shut smaller. Level wise, concluding above the threshold 5220 & 17100 on Sensex, grades is most searched after to convey affirmative sentiments in our market. Despite concluding the last two sessions on a negative note, Nifty shut above its 9, 14, 50, 100 and 200 day’s SMA placed at 4916, 4991, 5195, 5172 and 5085. VIX, the barometer of doubt, rushed a little and shut at 23.92 levels, therefore it shows higher than optimum instability in the forthcoming meetings. RSI (14) for the meeting was at 33.88 levels and MACD closed underneath the pointer line.

DCB (PICK OF THE WEEK )

Last trading session for DCB was with volume after 10 months on same date . But apart from  that DCB is at place for long term  breakout of trend line which around 2 year old. If any time DCB trade above 48.65 with volume 52.30 & 59.20 would be near term target for DCB. One may buy DCB above 48.70 for above target. And may take stop-loss of 46.80

ABAN(PICK OF THE WEEK )

After rally from the level of 303 ABAN finally break its resistance of 424.30 and closes well above @ 428 this trade was with volume . some where all stop-loss of short trader were triggered now the short will started coving their position in ABAN and this may take price to high of 462 & 504.
